Settlement & shrinkage cracks
Fine cracks from the house settling, filled and re-skimmed for an invisible repair.

Property guide · Hucknall & Nottingham
New-builds look pristine but the fresh plaster is still drying and the house is settling. Cracks, nail pops and snagging are normal — and easy for us to put right.
What we're working with
New-build homes are dry-lined: plasterboard on the walls and ceilings finished with a thin skim. The plaster is new and drying, and the building settles over its first couple of years.
That settling is exactly why small cracks and joint lines appear early on.
What we typically fix
Fine cracks from the house settling, filled and re-skimmed for an invisible repair.
Popped fixings and board joints that show through paint, made good and smoothed.
Boarding, plastering and skimming new rooms as you extend into unused space.

New homes settle and the fresh plaster dries out in the first year or two, so fine cracks are normal — and straightforward to repair.
If you're still within your builder's warranty, raise it with them first. Otherwise we can sort snagging cracks and finishing quickly and tidily.
